Update 1 July 2025

Following our Parish meeting on 29 March, we’re making progress on several suggested actions to shape our Parish Plan for the coming years.

To move forward, we need your continued support. Since it’s hard to find volunteers for everything, we’re starting small - trialling a few ideas to learn and show what’s possible with more involvement.

Here’s what’s happening:

Parish Walks

• We’ve tested one walk: after a weekday morning Mass, a group walked to the Rookery, enjoyed tea, and returned to Norbury
• Next steps: We’ll offer different days/times to suit more people

Spiritual Discussion Group

• Inspired by the appointment of the ‘Augustinian’ Pope Leo XIV, we held a one-hour ‘taster’ session on the life of St Augustine and his mother St Monica, using great reading materials prepared by one of our fellow parishioners
• Coming soon: A full, five-day series on St Monica and St Augustine to be held after the summer, each week on a Thursday evening. For more details, keep an eye out for future Newsletters!

Spiritual Discussion Group at their 'taster' session

Parish Food Hub

• This idea has strong support. With a small team, the Church is launching a weekly hub starting on Saturday 5 July to support our local community with food, care, and friendship

Parish Renewal Team

• We’ve formed a small, creative team to lead these efforts
• Open to all: If you’d like to help shape future projects, join us! Just contact the parish office
