Parish Finances 2020/21
Our financial position remains a significant concern
Whilst the Church was temporarily closed for Mass during the Covid-19 lockdown our parish income was very reduced as the majority of parishioners were unable to make their usual weekly cash donations. Although Masses are now being said again, social distancing and other concerns are still heavily restricting the numbers able to attend.
Have you thought about setting up a regular Standing Order?
Many of you already contribute by way of Standing Orders, and as a reliable source of regular income it is very welcome and much needed. Please do continue with these Standing Orders if your circumstances allow.
Our Standing Order Form and Gift Aid Declaration can be downloaded by clicking on the images below. We urge you to make use of them if at all possible.

In respect of the Standing Order Form, it is essential that people contact the Parish Office for advice on what to put in the Reference Box, and they should retain two copies – one for themselves and another for the Gift Aid Organiser.
Making online donations
If you wish to make donations to the Parish, perhaps equivalent to your weekly cash offering, please transfer money direct to the Parish bank account:
- Account Number: 30532140
- Sort Code: 60 15 16
- Business Account: RCAS St Bartholomew’s Covenant Account Norbury
Donating through JustGiving
There is the facility to support our parish by donating online by way of the Southwark Archdiocese’s JustGiving Page. It is important that you follow this guidance please:
- When making your donation, please leave a message to indicate the name of our church and location such as ‘Donation to St. Bart’s, Norbury’. This will ensure your donation goes to our parish rather than to the Archdiocese.
- If you pay income tax you will find that you may Gift Aid your donation. The parish will benefit from your Gift Aid, but you are advised keep a separate record, should you need to, as it may not be included within the amount you will be notified of in your 2020/21 Gift Aid return from the parish.
- Please opt-in to share your details with the Archdiocese of Southwark, so that it is able to share your donation details with our parish if you so wish.
There is no charge to you for donating through JustGiving unless you choose to pay one. Select the appropriate option (after clicking on 'Donate') beneath your chosen donation amount.
Save your offerings until you return for Mass
It goes without saying that if you do not have internet access then you will not be able to read this! However, fellow parishioners you are in touch with may well be able to convey these words to you.
Why not save your weekly offering each week, and then, when you are able to return for Mass, place your savings into the collection basket? If you donate through the Gift Aid scheme, then please use a spare envelope with your Gift Aid number written clearly on the front. If you are unsure of your Gift Aid number, please contact the Parish Office.

Mass Intentions
Our priests would be happy to receive Mass Intentions though our Contact Form, or by email, ‘phone or post. Daily Mass Intentions are published in the Parish Newsletter each week.
Please do not send cash offerings by post. You may send in your offerings by cheque, or by cash at a later date, whether or not they are Gift Aided.
Do request our bank details please (Mass Offerings are not placed in the main parish bank account) from the parish office, if you wish to make an electronic payment, and always quote your Gift Aid number if applicable.
