The Sacrament of Baptism
Baptismal Preparation Courses
It is a requirement that you must have attended a Baptism Preparation Course within a three year period prior to the Baptism of your child. Therefore if you apply a second or subsequent time before that three year period has passed, you may not be obliged to attend a course.
In any event, should you seek Baptism for your child, please download and print a Baptism Details Form (or take one from our porch), which you should read with care and complete fully. You should then return the form to the parish office. Baptisms are normally carried out on Sunday afternoons at 13:00, either singly or in groups if numbers demand.
For adults, individual arrangements will be made in conjunction with our RCIA Co-ordinator.

You will be required to attend one of six courses over a year, each course comprising of two meetings. There are two catechists per group and we hold our meetings on either Wednesdays 20:00 to 21:00 or Saturdays 14:30 to 15:30.
The next course will will be announced here in due course.
The sessions are open to parents, prospective parents and godparents. They can be booked through the Parish Office. The purpose of the course is to deepen parents' and godparents' understanding of the sacrament of Baptism.
There is no cost involved with this course, and parents obtain a certificate on completion of the course.
