..... to Father Michael Jones, Parish Priest here from 1993-2004, who celebrates the Ruby Anniversary of his Ordination on the great feast of Christ the King on Sunday 25 November.
Today there was a special Mass at his parish of St. John Vianney in Bexleyheath to mark the occasion. In a crowded church he spoke, amongst many other things, warmly of his time at St. Bart's and has lost none of his wonderful sense of humour! Among the many members of the clergy on the sanctuary (and in the pews beyond!) were Father Tom Scannell and Father John McGowan (who gave the homily). Father Tom was a curate here from 1997 to 2000, and retired last month as Parish Priest of Our Lady of Loreto and St. Winefride's, Kew. Father John and his family were Norbury parishioners, and he is a member of the Carmelite Priory Community in Kensington. Also present was Deacon Paul Milligan. Comments are closed.
