It has come to our attention that our email address book has been hacked into, as a result of which an email, purporting to be from St Bart’s, and claiming to contain a “secure message” was sent to an unknown number of people. If you have received such a communication, please do not open it. If you do open it, and you try to enter an email address and password, they will appear to be rejected, but in fact it will steal your password and mail out to your address book.
If this is the case with you, please change your password without delay. Please note that we shall never send out a “secure message” and you will never be asked to provide a password. Hopefully your security software should prevent you falling for this. Please note that this has had a knock-on effect on all our outgoing emails. If you are expecting a reply, but have not received one, please contact the parish office. Comments are closed.
