St. Vincent de Paul Society

The St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVP) is an international Christian voluntary organisation originally formed by Blessed Frederic Ozanam and his companions in Paris in 1833, inspired by the thinking and works of St. Vincent de Paul. The Society is dedicated to tackling poverty and disadvantage and combatting isolation.
The SVP is different from other groups in the parish. We don’t only help parishioners, we will help anyone in need in the area, irrespective of their faith, ethnicity, gender or age. We provide material and practical assistance as needed and befriend the sick, elderly or lonely. We can alleviate pressure on our clergy in this way. We hope to bring joy into the lives of those we assist and often find joy ourselves in doing so. We have a strict confidentiality policy.
We are supported by charitable donations and our links with other organisations and faith groups to better support our neighbours.
For further information, or if you would like to join please, contact the Parish Office 020 8679 3545
